About The Role

We’re looking for passionate Registered Midwives (Level 1) to join our energetic maternity teams across North Canberra Hospital and Centenary Hospital for Women and Children. You’ll be supported by experienced midwives and clinical development teams committed to your professional growth.

Responsibilities

- Provide antenatal care and support.
- Provide postnatal care and support.
- Assist with in‑hospital births.




- Deliver continuity care through the Canberra Midwives Program.
- Manage maternity and gynaecology outpatient services.

Qualifications

- Registered Midwife, Level 1, as per the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Undergoing a National Police Check prior to commencement.
- Compliance with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
