About Our School

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is situated in Coorparoo and offers a co‑educational experience to students with an enrolment of over 600. The school seeks to be a place where children are educated in faith, life and learning so that they may become purposeful people with the courage, wisdom and will to embrace the work of Jesus through Gospel values for a better world.

The Opportunity

- Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‑centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with curriculum policies and practices.
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes.




- Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering positive culture.
- Proactively engaging in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
- Establishing positive relationships in pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
- Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

About You

- Creating a supportive, learner‑focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes.
- A passion for supporting students’ spiritual and moral development.
- Required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
