The role

We are looking to place a Business Analyst on a 6‑month contract basis with strong opportunity to extend. The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.

You’ll be responsible for gathering, validating and documenting business requirements for a system enhancement project, modelling business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and defining issues, risks, benefits, and business impacts of existing and proposed solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Gather, validate, and document business requirements for system enhancement projects.
- Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
- Lead workshops and work directly with solution stakeholders.
- Negotiate with users, technical staff,



and product owners to achieve desired outcomes.
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and provide leadership in your area of expertise.
- Resolve problems, challenge opinions where necessary to achieve quality solutions.
- Undertake process re‑engineering: capture business process as‑is and to‑be states in process flows.

Required qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of proven system solution experience.
- Experience with both technical and business applications/processes.
- Extensive experience documenting business requirements and functional design through user stories, wireframes, screen mock‑ups, etc.
- Experience negotiating with users, technical staff, and product owners to achieve desired outcomes.
- Experience leading workshops and working directly with solution stakeholders.
- Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and provide leadership in your area of expertise.

Preferred experience

- Wealth products and business‑facing projects & applications experience.
