We're partnering with an organisation at the forefront of Australia's renewable energy transition. As they continue to invest in building a high-performing workforce, they're looking for an experienced People Consultant/ HRBP to join the team on an initial 12-month contract, with a robust possibility of the role becoming permanent.
About the role
Reporting into the Director of People Partnering & Strategy, this is an opportunity to step into a true HR partnering role where you'll work closely with leaders across the business, influence people strategy and help shape a positive, high-performing culture. Reporting into the Director of People Partnering & Strategy, you'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organisation, providing practical, commercially sound HR guidance.
What you’ll do
- Partner with leaders to provide practical HR advice across performance, employee relations, remuneration, wellbeing, WHS and policy interpretation.
- Coach and develop leaders to build capability and confidence in managing their teams.
- Support complex people matters including performance management, workplace conflict, behavioural issues and organisational change.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders to understand workforce needs and deliver practical people solutions.
- Support HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee records and workforce administration.
- Lead or contribute to key workforce projects across remuneration, recruitment, culture, capability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Use workforce data and insights to identify trends,
support decision-making and improve people processes.
- Partner with the broader People team to deliver a positive employee experience across the organisation.
About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys partnering with leaders, solving problems and building strong relationships across the business. You'll bring a proactive mindset and be comfortable balancing day-to-day HR advisory with broader strategic initiatives.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in a HR Advisory, HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role within a fast-paced or complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices.
- Experience managing employee relations matters with confidence, empathy and sound judgement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain HR concepts in a clear and practical way.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
