This is a recruitment pool for fixed‑term full‑time appointments for 12 months with the possibility of extension. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/01/2027.
Role Overview
The General Medicine Department provides a 24‑hour medical service for adult patients. The Resident Medical Officer will deliver high‑quality clinical care to all hospital patients under the supervision of consultants within a multidisciplinary team. The role also supports professional growth through available learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical service to adult patients in accordance with core values of Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Engage in clinical audit and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
- Assist in patient admissions, assessments, investigations and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Contribute to continuous professional development and site training programs.
Candidate Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent).
- Residency or internship completed in a recognised medical training program.
- Experience in general medicine or related clinical settings is desirable.
- Current, valid email address for communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including night and weekend shifts.
