Employee Relations and Policies Associate Manager

Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and implementing safety programs at the corporate and project levels under the guidance of the Health and Safety Manager.
- Lead and facilitate risk assessments to improve psychosocial safety.
- Provide expert health and safety advisory to key stakeholders for a broad range of matters, including general health & safety risk management, non‑work related serious illness, return to work plans, and psychosocial risk.
- Review health and safety data to identify emerging risks and trends.
- Act on identified risks and prepare monthly reports.
- Participate in implementing and maintaining Accenture’s ISO45001 certified WHS Management system in ANZ.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams to develop Health and Safety policies and procedures for ANZ.
- Provide input and suggestions for improving workplace safety.
- Contribute to fostering a strong safety culture within the organization by actively participating in awareness campaigns, communication efforts, and employee engagement activities.
- Work closely with local stakeholders to learn and ensure WHS compliance with client requirements and local regulations.
- Assist in incident investigation and analysis processes to understand root causes and recommend corrective actions under senior team guidance.




- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in WHS regulations, and share this knowledge with the team.
- As needed, distribute educational materials and training programs related to employee safety policies, procedures, accident protection, and prevention.

Skills and Experience

- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Diploma of WHS, Graduate Certificate WHS, or working toward one of these.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- 3‑5 years of similar work experience supporting health and safety initiatives within a large or global company.
- Experience in risk management across varied work environments (corporate, manufacturing, public sector).
- Experience in developing, implementing, and periodically revising health and safety management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Experience conducting internal audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to use data for decision‑making.
- Ability to communicate health and safety principles and advisory to diverse audiences.
- Exposure to managing third‑party accounts such as EAP providers and workers compensation insurers.

Key Requirements

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to the nature of the role.
