Hays Recruitment is currently hiring an experienced Electrician for a permanent full time position supporting a growing phosphate mining project near Dajarra, Queensland.
This role is ideal for qualified electricians who enjoy practical work across both industrial processing equipment and general site infrastructure. The position offers a mix of electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and operational support within a mining environment.
The successful candidate will work on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with day shifts only. FIFO arrangements are available from Brisbane, Townsville, and Cairns.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and repair electrical systems across site facilities
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on plant equipment
- Test and repair fixed plant electrical components
- Support processing operations when required
- Participate in daily pre-start inspections
- Assist with crushing circuit maintenance activities
- Support camp maintenance and infrastructure repairs
- Complete housekeeping and general maintenance tasks
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Ensure electrical work meets site standards and regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Current Electrical Trade Qualification
- Current CPR certification
- Current Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) certification
- Ability to pass a mine site medical examination
- Strong electrical maintenance skills
- Experience with fault diagnosis and repairs
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Mining industry experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a FIFO roster
