The Role
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Grants, the Senior Partnerships and Grants Coordinator plays a key role in enabling high‑quality international programmes through effective coordination of partnerships, contracts, and grants. Working closely with colleagues across the International Programs unit, the role supports strong financial and narrative reporting, proposal development, and compliance with donor and organisational requirements.
As part of a collaborative team, this position contributes to the continuous improvement of programme management systems and processes, while exercising autonomy to lead discrete pieces of work and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programme administration and coordination for a portfolio of grants, ensuring accurate data management across systems (SAP, NGO Online) and smooth operational delivery.
- Monitor programme, financial, and compliance performance across grants, ensuring alignment with Oxfam, donor, and sector standards.
- Identify, assess, document, and mitigate financial, programme‑related, and safeguarding risks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support high‑quality proposal and grant development, including concept notes, programme planning, MEAL frameworks, and donor submissions.
- Contribute to effective reporting, learning, and knowledge sharing, including financial and narrative reporting, case studies,
and lessons learned.
- Build strong internal and external relationships, support partner engagement and capacity strengthening, and contribute to a collaborative team culture while providing surge support as required.
- Occasional international and/or interstate travel is required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3‑5 years) in international development and/or humanitarian programming, ideally in rights‑based and feminist contexts.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of project/program and grant/contract management, financial oversight, programme quality standards, and donor compliance (especially DFAT).
- Strong and applied understanding of programme risk management, fraud prevention, and safeguarding in complex international contexts.
- High‑level written and verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
