Senior Emergency & Critical Care Nurse | Full-Time | Animal Referral Hospital Greater Western Sydney

Ready to step up, lead a team, and still get your hands dirty with the best critical cases in Western Sydney?

We’re looking for an experienced ECC nurse who loves mentoring as much as they love nursing. At our new, purpose-built hospital in Greater Western Sydney (our fifth and fastest-growing site), you’ll help shape a positive, supportive team culture while working alongside some of the friendliest vets and nurses in the business.

Responsibilities

- True senior position - you’ll be the go-to person on the floor for clinical questions, hands-on training, and keeping standards sky-high
- 4-day working week (yes, really) with a rotating roster that respects work-life balance
- Plenty of complex cases and the toys to match: full in-house lab, digital radiology, advanced monitoring, mechanical ventilators, and more
- Assist with central lines, arterial lines, PICC lines, urinary catheters, feeding tubes, set up high-flow oxygen, and manage ventilators confidently




- Jump in and lead CPR when it hits the fan
- Run smooth ICU admissions and discharges
- Handle triage and emergency procedures when things get busy
- Help with critical care anesthesia (including TIVA)
- Teach junior nurses without making them feel small - patience and clear communication are your superpower

Qualifications

- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- At least 4 years solid ECC experience - you’ve seen it all (or most of it!)
- Thrives in a true 24/7 environment and happy to work a mix of days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Warm, confident communication skills with team members and pet owners alike
