About The Role

AFLNT is seeking casual Match Managers to join the Big Rivers Football League 2025 Season! If you are passionate and keen to develop a career in the football industry, this entry level job is the job for you! You will get the chance to work closely with all BRFL clubs, spectators and stakeholders and be an integral part of the BRFL competition. Learn how to think on your feet and solve match day issues as they arise. You will receive extensive training relating to managing community football,



with the opportunity to apply this knowledge on game day.

Responsibilities

- Responsible cash handling and customer service at both venue entry points and canteen
- Set up and lock down venue for match day
- General match day operations & duties
- Ensure clubs are responsible for providing volunteers in specified roles (i.e. timekeepers, umpire escorts)
- Ensure all reports (Match Manager, Umpires, insurance reports) are collected and forwarded to BRFL Competition Lead.
- Manage any issues that may arise

Job Requirements

- Well-developed verbal, written communication, and public relation skills
- Positive computer literacy skills – Microsoft applications, Internet, and Email
- Ability to work flexible hours - such as afterhours work and weekends
- Must live in or have the ability to travel to Katherine for shifts
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to quickly establish a rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
- Conflict Resolution Skills
- Working With Children accreditation
- First Aid Qualifications preferred
- Knowledge of football in the Northern Territory desirable, but not essential
- Familiarity with AFLNT Rules and Regulations and League By-Laws
- Knowledge of relevant policies
- Cash handling and customer facing experience preferred but not essential
