About the role
As Associate Structural Engineer, you will:
- Lead and manage the structural design and delivery of mid‑rise residential buildings and government‑funded developments across Melbourne.
- Drive technical excellence across projects, overseeing design, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Support business growth by leveraging your industry connections and building strong relationships with developers, government bodies, architects, and builders.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with Directors to contribute to strategic direction, client engagement, and project acquisition.
What we’re looking for
- 8–12 years’ structural engineering experience,
ideally with a focus on mid‑rise residential projects.
- Exposure to government/public sector buildings (schools, community infrastructure, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong technical background – capable of overseeing complex structural systems and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
- Well‑connected in the Melbourne property and construction market – comfortable engaging with clients and building lasting relationships.
- Confident leader and communicator who can contribute to both project and business development.
- CPEng or working towards it is preferred.
