Director | Outsourced Finance & Fractional CFO Services (New Division)

A newly created leadership opportunity has been established to design, build and lead a dedicated Outsourced Finance & Fractional CFO division within a growing boutique professional services firm.

This is a rare chance to shape a service line from the ground up, combining CFO-level advisory, financial leadership and commercial decision support for private, mid-market and family-owned businesses.

You will operate as a Fractional CFO / senior finance lead, working directly with business owners, boards and executive teams to drive financial clarity, performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and establish the outsourced finance and Fractional CFO offering
- Develop service packages, pricing models and standardised deliverables
- Build scalable systems, reporting frameworks and processes

Client Delivery (Fractional CFO Function)

- Act as CFO or senior finance lead for a portfolio of clients
- Deliver management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Provide board-level reporting, insight and decision support
- Oversee and uplift transactional finance functions where required

Team & Capability Development

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team over time
- Define delivery models across onshore, offshore and technology-enabled solutions
- Set service standards,



governance and quality frameworks
- Work closely with Accounting Partners as peer-level finance leaders
- Leverage existing client relationships and contribute to pipeline growth
- Support cross-referrals across tax, structuring, SMSF and advisory services

About You

We are open to Director or Partner-level appointments, depending on experience.

You will likely bring:

- Experience in private enterprise, mid-market or family business environments
- Proven ability to build or lead finance functions end-to-end
- Strong commercial acumen and practical problem-solving capability
- Confidence engaging with boards and senior stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset within multi-partner environments
- Experience in outsourced finance or professional services is highly regarded but not essential.
