Role Summary
This fixed-term cybersecurity Project Manager role focuses on managing four key projects moving from planning into delivery. The core accountability is to accelerate progress, ensuring projects are aligned to strategic priorities and delivery timelines. The role involves working within a hybrid environment, with a strong preference for Melbourne-based candidates, and managing a team that includes Business Analysts, a Change Manager, Solution Architects, and technical resources. Delivery methodologies are flexible, primarily agile or hybrid, requiring a pragmatic and adaptable approach to navigating project complexities and ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the reset and re‑planning process, establishing realistic delivery plans for January to June.
- Drive project recovery by reassessing scope, dependencies, and priorities, ensuring transparent, achievable targets.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across technical teams, business units, and vendors, maintaining transparent and proactive communication.
- Oversee governance, reporting, and escalation processes to ensure timely issue resolution and decision‑making.
- Support project team coordination, including managing dependencies and changing project scope where necessary.
- Foster collaborative working across the project team, promoting accountability and disciplined project management.
About You
- Strong project management experience within cybersecurity contexts.
- Proven ability to stabilise and accelerate delayed projects, with a track record in recovery or reset scenarios.
- Experience with hybrid or agile project delivery, with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with cybersecurity concepts such as vulnerability management, password vaults, or privileged access management (preferred but not essential).
- Competent in using project tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Confluence.
- Demonstrates pragmatic, collaborative, and adaptable working styles.
- Qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile certifications are desirable.
