Concept Engineering (Aust) Pty Ltd are currently seeking the services of a qualified and competent Track and Civil Engineer for technical support across areas of Australia’s largest national freight line.
Our client safely moves over 400 trains across 9,600 kilometres of freight line each day and has a proud history of serving its communities and customers through their national rail network.
As part of a constantly evolving industry, they are responsible for the maintenance of approximately 9,600 kilometres of rail track, signalling and services across Australia.
The organisation is committed to maintaining a high focus on safety and delivering excellent customer service, continually striving to improve the overall customer experience.
We are currently looking to appoint a casual Track and Civil Engineer through the Greater Sydney region.
The Track and Civil Engineer will be responsible for defect reviews, track stability management, asset inspections, engineering assurance, technical input to maintenance planning and scope development to maintenance and minor works in line with rail safety standards.
Suitable candidates will have a demonstrated railway maintenance engineering experience and practical understanding of track geometry, rail, sleepers, ballast, formation, drainage, turnouts, level crossings, defect management and protected working conditions.
The successful candidate may need to travel the network to attend site inspections, participate in technical workshops and engage with maintenance supervisors, delivery and project teams.
