An established Australian manufacturer within the transport and heavy engineering sector is seeking a CNC Production Coordinator / Machine Programmer to join its Brisbane operation.
This is a hands-on position where you'll play a critical role in driving production efficiency, supporting workshop operations, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across a busy manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity
Working closely with production, engineering, and workshop teams, you'll take ownership of CNC plasma programming (training will be provided) while contributing to planning, scheduling, and workflow improvements across the operation.
This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to influence how work is delivered on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC plasma programming using SigmaNEST
- Optimising material utilisation and machine efficiency
- Supporting production planning and workflow scheduling
- Managing stock levels and material requirements
- Preparing job documentation and workshop packs
- Assisting team leaders with technical queries
- Monitoring and reporting productivity KPIs
- Coordinating preventative maintenance scheduling
- Working collaboratively with fabrication and engineering teams to improve production outcomes
About You
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Understanding of CNC machinery, cutting processes, and production workflows
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Exposure to CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Highly Regarded
- Hands-on CNC machine operating experience
- Previous experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment
- SigmaNEST programming experience
- Autodesk Inventor proficiency
- Forklift licence
- Trade qualification or relevant engineering/manufacturing certification
