Are you an experienced customer service qualified who enjoys leading people, improving operations and creating memorable visitor experiences?

Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village is seeking a motivated Visitor Services Team Leader to lead and support our Visitor Services Officers and volunteers across the Flagstaff Hill tourism precinct.

In this varied role, you will:

- Lead, coach and develop staff and volunteers through training, mentoring and ongoing support
- Coordinate staffing rosters and help ensure consistent leadership coverage across the seven-day operation
- Oversee reception, ticketing, bookings, gift shop operations and visitor information services
- Manage retail merchandising, stock presentation and day-to-day gift shop operations
- Support banking, procurement, financial reporting, records management and point-of-sale reconciliation
- Coordinate group bookings, education visits, functions and events
- Deliver engaging tours and presentations showcasing Flagstaff Hill, Warrnambool and the wider region
- Respond professionally to visitor enquiries,



operational issues and customer concerns
- Identify opportunities to increase bookings, retail sales, repeat visitation and visitor satisfaction

We are looking for an organised, approachable and confident leader with experience in customer service, retail, tourism or hospitality. You will have strong communication and administrative skills, sound judgement and the ability to support a busy front-line team.

Experience in tourism, visitor attractions, museums or heritage settings would be highly regarded, along with experience delivering tours, presentations or public programs.

The Benefits

This is a permanent part-time position working 0.8 FTE. (60.8 hours per fortnight) The current salary is $78,981 per annum, pro rata, plus superannuation.
