ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Female Disability Support Worker to support a client in Pascoe Vale VIC who has ABI.

This position is ideal for a support worker who is:

- Compassionate and professional
- Experienced with personal care and complex disability supports
- Skilled in using hoists, Sara Stedy, and similar assistive equipment
- Confident in supporting clients with communication challenges and managing behaviours in a protected and respectful way
- Clear and fluent in English communication

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide personal care, including toileting, showering, and dressing
- Use hoist and Sara Stedy safely for mobility support
- Support with meals, medication, and daily living activities
- Assist the client with communication, providing prompts and alternative methods if needed
- Monitor client wellbeing and communicate changes promptly
- Maintain accurate case notes and incident reports
- Support with community access and outings
- Follow the client’s care plan and NDIS practice standards





REQUIREMENTS

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Disability / Aged Care (Essential)
- Manual Handling experience (Essential)
- Experience supporting clients with ABI or similar high-care needs (Preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Clear National Police Check
- Valid Australian Driver’s License
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle (preferred)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- ABN and Public Liability Insurance (preferred for contractors)

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

- Job Type: Casual
- Pay Rate: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
- Location: Pascoe Vale VIC 3044
- Shifts Available: Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts
- Start Date: Immediate
- Schedule: Flexibility Required
