Event Staff Australia engages experienced hospitality and event professionals to provide services as independent contractors for a range of events.
Engagements are offered on an ad-hoc, on-demand basis. Bookings are released as required and may be accepted or declined depending on your availability. There are no set hours, no guaranteed weekly work, and no obligation to accept bookings.
We support private functions, venue events, corporate functions, and brand activations. Contractors are engaged on a job-by-job basis in line with event requirements.
- Ideally 1.5+ years of relevant hospitality or event experience
(Equivalent practical experience gained over a shorter period will also be considered)
- Clear communication skills and a professional standard of presentation
- Current RSA certification (where required)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Appropriate insurance coverage, including public liability
Service Expectations
Contractors engaged through Event Staff Australia are expected to operate as capable all-rounders during events.
This includes:
- Assisting with general event and customer-facing tasks as required
- Maintaining orderly, clean, and well-presented work areas
- Conducting themselves professionally within client venues and spaces
- Adapting to reasonable changes in requirements during live events
Independent Contractor Engagement
Engagements are offered on an independent contractor basis and do not constitute PAYG employment.
Contractors are responsible for their own tax, superannuation, and insurance obligations. No employment entitlements, guaranteed hours, or ongoing work are implied.
