Senior Marine Trades Technician | Marine Industry
We are seeking an experienced Marine Trades Technician, Boat Builder, or Shipwright to deliver expert vessel repairs and maintenance. The position would suit a boat builder, shipwright or marine all-rounder with practical experience across vessel repairs, refits and maintenance.Work on a wide-ranging range of vessels, from trailer boats through to vessels of approximately 100 feet
Role Overview Marine Trades Technician
- Require solid practical skills in vessel repair, refits, composite fabrication, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical work.
- $40 to $50 per hour,
- Location: Coomera (Northern QLD)
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fibreglass and composite repairs including lamination and structural work.
- Engage in diverse boat building and refit tasks for vessels ranging from small trailer boats up to large craft around 30 metres.
- Perform plumbing, rigging, and skin fitting installations and maintenance duties.
- Assist with mechanical tasks related to vessel upkeep and system improvements.
- Work autonomously, maintaining high-quality standards and flexibility to support evolving marine service requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- Proficient in fibreglass lamination, composite repair, rigging, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.

- Experience with a variety of vessel types and sizes, including hands-on boat building and refit expertise.
- Permanent residency or relevant work authorization required.
