About the Role
We're looking for an experienced barista to join our team. You'll be the face of our coffee program — pulling consistent, high-quality shots, engaging with regulars, and keeping the bar running smoothly during busy periods.
What You'll Do
- Prepare espresso-based drinks to a high, consistent standard
- Operate and maintain the espresso machine and grinder (calibration, dosing, tamping)
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service and build rapport with regulars
- Handle cash/EFTPOS transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the bar and front-of-house
- Manage stock levels and communicate reordering needs
- Work well under pressure during peak periods
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a barista in a busy café/restaurant environment
- Robust understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Current RSA and/or Food Safety certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work early mornings and weekends
