About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, People and Culture to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead the development and delivery of a contemporary people strategy that supports organisational performance, workforce capability and cultural transformation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished executive leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a credible executive leader who brings:

- Significant executive-level experience leading people and culture functions within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing workforce, culture and organisational development strategies.




- Strong industrial and employee relations expertise.
- Proven experience leading major change, reform or transformation programs.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
- The ability to provide authoritative and strategic advice to executives and boards on complex people matters.
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on capability development, accountability and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and workplace experience.
- Significant experience at an executive level in the design, delivery, and management of integrated people and culture programs, workforce management strategies, change and transformation and human resource service delivery.
- Demonstrated record of achievement in managing a large and complex human resources and industrial relations portfolio to achieve organisational outcomes.
- All roles within the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current Working with Children Check.
- Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
