Due to company growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Service Technician to join our friendly team.

About the opportunity:
You will provide our customers, internal departments and suppliers with excellent technical and customer support by consistently delivering a high-quality service.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Work in a team-based approach with all employees of Select Equip to deliver a unified customer-focused service to all customers
- Work co-operatively and use initiative to ensure the Service Department achieves its goals under the direction of the National Technical Operations Manager
- Commission automated packaging equipment
- Service and maintenance of the above equipment.
- Fault finding and testing of equipment.
- Equipment trials (in-house and onsite)
- Providing Service Reports and feedback to customers and suppliers
- Maintaining Service Contracts
- Assemble auxiliary equipment
- Assemble control boards
- Assist other departments of Select Equip




- Drive Sales of spare parts, Service Contracts and Uptime products

Skills and experience:

- Practical experience in service and maintaining industrial electrical and mechanical equipment and systems
- Food industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and to work under pressure
- Ability to understand electrical and schematic drawings
- Must be able to travel local, interstate and overseas at short notice and work weekends when required
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm, initiative, self-motivation, and a results-oriented approach to work
- Ability to contribute to team goals, development and motivation
- Computer literate – word, excel, email, PowerPoint, etc.
- Completed Year 12 or Equivalent years of working Experience
- Experience in Packaging Automation Equipment (desirable)
- PLC programming experience and Electronics training (desirable)

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
