Position Summary

As we scale our brand presence across social media, we are looking for a creative and culturally‐tuned Social Media Content Creator (Freelance) to help us show up online, bringing our customer stories, product value, and company personality to life across platforms.

This role is on a monthly retainer, with a commitment of 15 deliverables per month, and includes some in‐person collaboration at our Sydney office. The arrangement is long term.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Platform Management

- Create high‐quality, platform‐native content (short‐form video, static graphics, carousels, Stories) tailored to each channel's audience and format.
- Ideate, script, shoot (where applicable), and edit short‐form video content that aligns with our brand voice and social strategy.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, audio trends, and content formats to keep our channels fresh and relevant.
- Feel comfortable shooting with and directing internal staff to create engaging content.

Customer Story & Social Proof Amplification

- Transform real customer experiences sourced from internal teams, Trustpilot reviews, and Club+ members into compelling social content.
- Create content that builds trust and highlights the tangible value of our comparison platform in an authentic, relatable way.

Content Planning & Calendar Execution

- Contribute to and execute against a rolling social content calendar, delivering 15 pieces of content per month on time and to brief.
- Manage the production pipeline for your content deliverables, flagging dependencies or bottlenecks early.




- Coordinate with the internal marketing team on campaign moments, product launches, and seasonal content priorities.

Community Engagement & Performance Reporting

- Light‐touch monitor audience insights.
- Track content performance across platforms and share regular insights on what is working, what is not, and what to test next.
- Bring data‐informed recommendations to content planning conversations.

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience creating social media content.
- Demonstrated portfolio of short‐form video and social content across Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In, or Facebook.
- Strong video editing skills; proficiency with Cap Cut, Adobe Premiere, or similar.
- Excellent copywriting instincts — you can write captions that hook, inform, and convert.
- A genuine feel for platform culture, trends, and what makes content shareable.
- Organised and reliable, able to manage your own deadlines and communicate proactively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience creating content for a consumer‐facing brand, especially in financial services, fintech, or insurance.
- Familiarity with social scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
- Graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for static content production.
- Experience with influencer or UGC‐style content formats.

- Self‐directed and accountable; comfortable working independently on a retainer model.
- Collaborative and communicative when working with internal stakeholders.

Engagement Details

Type: Freelance monthly retainer – minimum of 15 deliverables per month.
Location: Remote with a minimum of 2 days per month in Sydney office (central location).
Rate: AUD $4,500 – $5,000 per month.

Start: ASAP or by agreement.
