About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Wollongong, NSW. This is a full time position that offers an excellent opportunity for an Experienced qualified electrician for a supervisory role. You will play a crucial part in overseeing our commercial electrical projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality and safety standards that Complete Plumbing and Fire is known for, and you will be instrumental in leading our Commercial Electrical Service Division to continued success.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate commercial electrical projects from inception through to completion, ensuring all work meets relevant safety regulations and Australian standards.
2. Manage and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
3. Conduct site inspections and inductions to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company policies
4. Oversee the planning, scheduling, and allocation of resources to optimise project efficiency and meet deadlines
5. Maintain detailed project records, including timesheets,



materials used, work completed, and any incidents or safety concerns
6. Liaise with clients, project managers, and other contractors to ensure clear communication and seamless project delivery and within budgets
7. Perform electrical work as required, demonstrating best practice techniques and problem-solving skills
8. Identify and address any technical or operational challenges that may arise during projects and provide solutions.
9. Cost estimation and budgeting for commercial electrical projects
10. Maintain all equipment and tools in safe working order and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules

What we're looking for

1. Current and valid electrical license recognized in New South Wales, with demonstrated experience in large commercial and industrial electrical work.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified electrician, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leading hand capacity
3. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, installation, maintenance, and extensive fault diagnosis in commercial settings. Experience in Commercial problem solving and del
4. In-depth understanding of relevant electrical standards, building codes, and health and safety legislation
5. Robust leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.



Reporting directly to the Service and Construction Managers and working alongside other division supervisors
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability with our clients
7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
8. Sound problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
9. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and a safety-first mindset
10. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights where required, including possession of appropriate certifications (such as Working at Heights)
11. Valid driver's licence and reliable.
