About the Positions
We/'re seeking two Secondary Education Assistants to join our Christian learning community. - Position 1 — Secondary Education Assistant: Food Technology and Art (full-time)
- Position 2 — Secondary Education Assistant: Outdoor Education (fixed-term, 0.6 FTE)
Because both roles involve daily, direct contact with students, successful applicants must meet the faith requirements outlined below and be genuine role models of our Christian values.

Full-time
This role centres on supporting students in Food Technology (including food preparation) and Art, alongside individual and small-group support for students — including those with additional learning, behavioural or physical needs — under the direction of the classroom teacher.
Salary follows the College/'s Administration Pay Scale, above the Award rate, with the level offered reflecting experience and the complexity of support required.

- Provide individual and small-group support, including implementing individual education, behaviour or health care plans as directed
- Help students engage with the curriculum across practical and core learning areas
- Supervise students during lessons, transitions, breaks, excursions and incursions
- Provide personal care, mobility, communication or sensory support to students with additional needs as required
- Prepare and maintain classroom/workshop materials and learning spaces, and assist with related administrative tasks
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, and support positive behaviour strategies
- Model and uphold the College/'s Christian values, and contribute to staff meetings, professional learning and College events
- Undertake other reasonable tasks as requested by the classroom teacher or Principals
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Certificate III in Education Support, Disability Support or a related field (must hold, or be willing and able to obtain)
- A Pastor/'s reference and evidence of Protestant, evangelical faith alignment. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a personal faith in Jesus Christ as God and Saviour, and be an active member of an evangelical Christian church
Desirable
- Previous experience as an Education Assistant
- Certificate IV in Education Support, Disability Support or a related field
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Training in manual handling, positive behaviour support, or specific therapeutic approaches (e.g. Auslan, AAC, autism-specific strategies)
You/'ll also be able to demonstrate:
- Strong interpersonal skills that build effective relationships with students, staff and families
- The ability to work collaboratively and take direction, while working independently when required
- The ability to support students with additional learning, behavioural or physical needs
- Sound judgement, including knowing when to refer and consult with your line manager
- The ability to maintain confidentiality in matters relating to student welfare
- Experience supporting students with disability, additional needs, or English as an additional language
