Job Description

BHATTEWAD GROUP PTY LTD The Fleet Manager at BHATTEWAD GROUP PTY LTD is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the company’s fleet and transport-related operations to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of vehicles, goods, and business resources.

The role focuses on maintaining reliable fleet operations, supervising vehicle utilisation and maintenance, monitoring operational costs, and ensuring that all transport activities are carried out in accordance with Australian road safety, workplace health and safety, and company compliance requirements.

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day fleet operations of BHATTEWAD GROUP PTY LTD, including coordinating vehicle schedules, allocating vehicles and drivers, monitoring fleet performance, and ensuring timely delivery and operational support across the business.

The Fleet Manager oversees vehicle maintenance, servicing, registrations, insurance, fuel usage, and compliance records to ensure all vehicles remain safe, roadworthy, and available for business use. The role also involves liaising with internal staff, drivers, suppliers, service providers, and clients to manage transport requirements, resolve operational issues, and improve overall efficiency.

The Fleet Manager is expected to maintain accurate fleet records, control transport-related expenses, implement effective procedures, and support management with reports and recommendations to improve fleet productivity, service standards, and business performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, direct and coordinate the overall operations of transport and fleet activities to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and efficient utilisation of vehicles, equipment, and fuel resources




- Liaise with clients to assess service requirements and provide advice on suitable transport solutions, pricing structures, and service obligations, while resolving customer issues professionally
- Receive and manage bookings, allocate resources, and develop effective transportation schedules to meet operational demands
- Ensure goods are stored, handled, and transported under appropriate conditions to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Arrange and coordinate the collection, dispatch, and delivery of vehicles and goods in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate business records, including operational data, fleet performance, and financial reports
- Monitor and control operational costs, including fuel, maintenance, and logistics expenses, to ensure cost efficiency
- Supervise fleet operations and coordinate with drivers and staff to ensure smooth day-to-day transport activities
- Oversee loading and unloading processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with handling procedures
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, transport laws, and company policies
- Implement and monitor systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency and service quality
- Manage staffing requirements, including driver coordination, training, and performance monitoring
- Ensure vehicles meet regulatory requirements, including registration, insurance, and roadworthiness standards
- Analyse operational performance and prepare reports to support business planning and decision-making QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Associate Degree,



Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
- Proven experience in fleet management, transport operations, or a similar role
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple vehicles within a fleet environment
- Experience in handling vehicle maintenance, servicing, and general operations
- Basic understanding of vehicle compliance and operational planning
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and coordination abilities WORKING HOURS Full time position, 38 hours per week.
