About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to join our high performing Corporate Services team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. As a member of the Finance team, the Payroll Officer supports GCPHN’s administrative systems to the standards of accuracy, timeliness, efficiency and customer focus, as agreed in consultation with the CEO.
Working under the supervision of the Finance Manager, this role assists GCPHN to achieve its goals through effective administrative support. This position is offered as a part time role, working 20 hours per week (working days must include Wednesday & Thursday for payroll processing).

It is a fixed-term appointment (Parental leave backfill), contracted until 17/09/2027.



There may be potential for an extension, depending on the timing of the incumbent's return from parental leave. Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely payroll for employees, Board Members and committee members.

Maintain payroll records and manage employee onboarding, offboarding and payroll system administration.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and reporting requirements, including superannuation, PAYG and EOFY obligations.
Reconcile payroll transactions and support payroll-related financial processes.
Provide payroll support, training and advice to employees and stakeholders.
Maintain data integrity, confidentiality and compliance with information security and privacy requirements.
Support finance, administration and reporting activities as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement, workplace safety and a positive team culture.
