CareCo Services is seeking a full-time Quality, Safeguards Coordinator to support participant safety, compliance, incident management and the intake of new NDIS participants.

This role is responsible for ensuring CareCo’s safeguarding, compliance and intake processes are followed properly from the start. You will review incidents, assess reportable incident requirements, maintain support worker and participant compliance records, monitor participant risk, follow up complaints and support new participant enquiries through to service commencement.

You will work closely with the General Manager, Client Liaison team, Scheduling, Administration and clinical providers to ensure participants are supported safely, appropriately and in line with NDIS requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing recent participant enquiries and intake documentation

- Gathering information about support needs, risks, goals, funding and current provider involvement

- Coordinating intake follow-up, meet and greets and internal handovers

- Ensuring services do not commence until required consent, risk, funding and compliance documentation is in place

- Reviewing incidents and assessing them against NDIS reportable incident criteria

- Supporting timely NDIS Commission notifications where required

- Tracking incident follow-up actions through to closure

- Identifying repeated risks, patterns or safeguarding concerns and escalating these early

- Maintaining support worker compliance records, including screening checks, police checks, training records and certificates

- Issuing compliance reminders and escalation notices where required

- Reviewing participant files for quality, completeness and NDIS Practice Standards compliance

- Maintaining participant risk assessments, consent forms and support documentation





- Monitoring participant funding usage and flagging concerns early

- Supporting complaint follow-up through the formal complaints process

- Supporting PBS and behaviour-related compliance discussions where required

- Ensuring documentation is clear, accurate and audit-ready

The successful person will be organised, confident with documentation, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable working with sensitive participant and staff information.

Essential requirements:

- Experience in the NDIS, disability, health or community services sector

- Strong understanding of safeguarding, duty of care and participant risk

- Ability to write clear incident notes, risk summaries and professional documentation

- Strong attention to detail

- Confident communication with participants, families, support coordinators and staff

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or ability to obtain one

- Current DHS Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain one

- Current National Police Check, or ability to obtain one

- Current driver’s licence

- Right to work in Australia

Desirable:

- Experience with NDIS reportable incidents

- Experience with participant intake or onboarding

- Experience using ShiftCare or similar client management systems

- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards

- Experience in SIL, complex care or behaviour support environments

- Qualifications in disability, community services, health, social work, quality, compliance or a related field
