The Role

As our Senior Software Architect, you will play a key role in defining the technical direction of the myBuildings platform. Working closely with our development team, you will design scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions while providing technical leadership across the organisation. You will be responsible for making architectural decisions, mentoring developers, promoting engineering best practices, and ensuring our platform continues to evolve to meet the needs of a growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture and design of complex enterprise web applications from concept through to delivery.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across development teams.
- Collaborate with clients, product owners, and developers to deliver innovative solutions.
- Establish and promote architecture standards, design principles, and software engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that deliver business value.
- Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Support long-term technology strategy and product roadmap planning.
- Mentor and coach developers while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Skills & Experience Essential

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of professional software development experience.




- At least 7 years' experience in a Software Architect or senior technical leadership role.
- Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Proven experience designing scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure (or equivalent cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud).
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging technologies, and integration patterns.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- Experience leading Agile software development teams

Desirable

- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.
- Experience working on SaaS or enterprise software platforms.
- Knowledge of facilities management, asset management, or property technology solutions.
