We are seeking an experienced and passionate Psychologist to join our School.
As the Senior School Psychologist this pivotal role focuses on enhancing student wellbeing, safety, learning potential and mental health outcomes for students in Years 10–12 through evidence-based psychological services.
Working as a key member of the Psychological Services Team, the successful applicant will collaborate closely with school leadership, staff, students and families and contribute to a whole‑school approach to wellbeing. The role also provides clinical leadership within safeguarding and pastoral teams, supporting complex and high‑risk student needs while fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive school workplace.
This is a fixed-term position commencing immediately and continuing until July 2027. We encourage applications from experienced psychologists seeking part-time work and able to commit to the requirements of the role for the duration of the contract. Applicants interested in working between one and five days per week are encouraged to apply, with specific days to be negotiated with the preferred candidate to meet both operational needs and individual circumstances.
About you
The successful applicant will bring strong expertise in student mental health and wellbeing, with a commitment to delivering evidence-based support in an educational setting.
You will bring:
- Experience delivering psychological assessment, counselling and intervention for young people.
- Ability to support complex wellbeing and learning needs using evidence-based approaches.
- Strong collaboration skills with staff, families and external professionals.
- Sound judgement in risk assessment, crisis response and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion and child safety.
- Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications, with experience or training in Educational and Developmental or school psychology highly regarded.
- A minimum of two years experience working with children and adolescents in education, counselling or child protection settings.
