About The Role
As a member of the Calvary Home Care team, you will deliver quality services to meet the needs of our clients and contribute to a positive experience. Assist in planning, assessing and evaluating our clients needs with the help of our multidisciplinary team, to promote positive health outcomes. The Registered Nurse provides clinical support to our clients and collaborates with our support workers and care managers to deliver exceptional care to our clients in the community. The position is based in Deakin, with our clients located throughout ACT and surrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive clinical assessments, nursing care and ongoing monitoring to support clients' health, safety and wellbeing. Exercise professional clinical judgement to identify, manage and escalate changes in health status and clinical risks in a timely manner while working both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Advocate for clients' rights, dignity, independence and informed choice while delivering care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice. Complete nursing interventions including wound care, catheter (IDC/SPC) management, PEG care, medication reviews, and health assessments. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional, ethical and legislative standards, including continuing professional development and compliance with AHPRA and organisational requirements.

AHPRA Registration and current First Aid CertificateACT Working with Vulnerable People cardRecent nursing/clinical experience in the last 5 years or evidence of a refresher courseDrivers licence and use of a reliable, well maintained, fully comprehensively insured vehicle.Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skillsCandidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Support at Home Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourablyInitiative and the desire to continually improve client careCapability to prioritise tasks and achieve goals within set timeframesA desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
