Location: Guildford, WA, AU

Reporting into Health and Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Business Partner will join the team on a Full-time permanent basis at our South Guildford location. As a trusted Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders and frontline teams to provide expert health and safety advice, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements. You will play a critical role in developing capability, improving safety performance, and fostering a culture where safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 8.5 Hours per day (including meal break)

What You’ll Do:
Live the Values – Leads by example everyday through actions, behaviours and decisions.Deliver allocated HSE initiatives and operational objectives within allocated business units, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed timeframesProvide leadership, coach, influence, guide, mentor and train organisational frontline management in effective risk management strategies necessary to fulfil their legislative responsibilities and control risks as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP)Ensure frontline leaders,



contractors and team members understand key safety processes and report incidents and near misses accordingly within required timeframesGenerate health and safety performance reporting both scheduled and ad hoc to monitor trends and facilitate improvements to overall HSE performance Lead and facilitate incident investigations and proficiently use a range of HSE relevant technical tools and models to assist all stakeholders in risk treatmentLead proactive workplace assessment and assist front line management in identification of critical risks profile and development of custom risk control measuresProactively build and maintain effective relationships, working constructively with others to efficiently achieve required business outcomes within agreed timeframes. Ensure all stakeholder engagement for team members is completed in accordance with WesTrac’s HSE objectives and policies

Skills & Experience:
Tertiary qualification within the field of Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management or equivalent Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar roleDemonstrate strong leadership traits, demonstrate continuous drive to influence positive changes in safety culture.Advanced time management, planning and organisational skillsExcellent communication (interpersonal, written and verbal) and public speaking skillsAdvanced computer literacy skills (MS Office Suite)ICAM (or similar methodology)



Lead Investigator and experience in root causal analysisWorking knowledge of relevant legislation and proven ability to interpret per local workplace requirementsPrevious experience developing and facilitating training to a large and diverse group
