About the Role
As the NT Content Navigator, you'll provide Archival Services for the NT Newsroom. Your primary task is to select audio visual content from the News production system, add metadata, and move News clips into the ABC Archives system so that it can be reused and repurposed.
Please note: This role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with two rostered offsite days per week. This role includes weekend shifts (approximately one per month), rotating late shifts (approximately one per week) and some Public Holidays.
The Job
- Work in the Newsroom and engage with News staff.
- Collaborate with content makers to manage and share content.
- Select and keep audio-visual content according to policies.
- Identify valuable content for reuse and production.
- Research media archives for News stories.
- Add metadata so that footage can be found.
- Move content between data and archive systems.
About You
You'll have:
- Local knowledge of Darwin and the NT (preferred).
- A good understanding of different media formats, especially video
- Robust problem-solving and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, work well in teams, and be confident working independently.
- Be passionate about creating authentic content that reflects diverse communities.
