THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and leading one direct report, this is a broad, hands‑on People & Culture leadership role.
You'll be the trusted advisor to leaders across the business, ensuring our people practices are consistent, compliant and commercially sound while delivering an outstanding employee experience across our global team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational excellence with meaningful relationships. You'll have ownership across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to the continued evolution of MAAP's people practices as we grow.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing our People & Culture Coordinator
- Partnering with managers on employee relations, performance and people leadership
- Managing end‑to‑end recruitment across office and retail teams
- Delivering exceptional onboarding and offboarding experiences
- Coordinating performance reviews, OKRs and learning initiatives
- Supporting remuneration reviews and employee benefits
- Maintaining HR systems,
policies and compliance across multiple international markets
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and strengthen the employee experience
THE CANDIDATE
You'll be an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being close to the business and making things happen.
You'll bring:
- Strong experience across the full employee lifecycle
- Demonstrated in‑depth knowledge of current Australian employment law, with international exposure highly regarded
- Experience coaching and supporting leaders through people matters
- Confidence managing employee relations, performance and compliance
- Outstanding organisation, attention to detail and follow‑through
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to adapt in a growing business
- Experience leading or mentoring others
- A genuine passion for building great workplaces and helping people succeed
