Pakenham Consolidated School Early Learning Centre is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic bachelor qualified Kindergarten Teacher to join our team.

This position is a maternity leave contract from 10th August 2026 to 28th June 2027.
Hours are Monday to Thursday 9am-2pm with school holidays off.

The successful applicant will have an Early Childhood Teaching Qualification, current VIT registration, a robust knowledge and understanding of children’s needs and the skills to develop and extend children’s thinking and learning. The ability to contribute meaningfully to planning and to the documentation of children’s learning is required. Applicants must therefore be familiar with the Early Years Learning Frameworks, including the concepts of critical reflection and intentional teaching.





It is essential that you are able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues and are willing to be professionally challenged. You must also be thoughtful, flexible, progressive in your thinking and respectful, committed and professional in your interactions with others.

Successful applicants must have:

- A Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching

- VIT registration

- Excellent communication skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of the EYLF
