About the Role:

WIKA Australia is currently looking for a positive, proactive, professional candidate for a Calibration Lab Manager role at our NATA accredited laboratory in Western Australia, reporting to the WA State Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of our calibration team and supporting them both in-house and on-site calibration of various instrumentation and equipment in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. This role requires a robust understanding of calibration procedures, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Core Elements of the role are:

- Supporting the QMS system for the lab according to 17025/NATA

- Supervising Day to day work of the technicians





- Support with in-house and on-site calibration of instrumentation and equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

- Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including certificates and reports.

- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation as needed to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with clients to schedule and perform calibration services at their facilities.

- Ensure all calibration equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding calibration procedures and best practices.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during calibration activities.

- Continuously update knowledge and skills related to calibration techniques and industry standards.

Skills and experience

- Proven experience in instrumentation calibration, both in-house and on-site.

- Thorough Understanding in ISO 17025 standards.

- Previous experience in managing calibration lab accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 is highly regarded

- Strong technical knowledge of various types of instrumentation and calibration equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
