About the role

WestCoast Powerlines Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Powerline Construction Worker to join our team based in Perth, Western Australia. This full-time 2/1 FIFO role is crucial in ensuring the reliable and efficient delivery of power across the region. As a Powerline Construction Worker, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of our extensive powerline network, playing a vital part in keeping the lights on for our customers.

What you'll be doing

1. Constructing new powerline infrastructure, including setting up poles, stringing cables and installing transformers

2. Carrying out routine maintenance on existing powerlines, such as inspecting, repairing and replacing components

3. Responding to emergency callouts to restore power during outages

4. Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work workplace

5. Collaborating with the wider team to optimise efficiency and resolve issues

6. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken

What we're looking for

1. Relevant trade qualification in electrical or construction, or equivalent experience

2.



Electrical trade certificate is essential for this role

3. Demonstrated skills and experience in powerline construction, maintenance and repair

4. Minimum 5+ years of powerline construction experience required

5. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and safety principles

6. Ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions

7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

8. Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management

9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

10. Australian citizenship is mandatory for this position

11. High Risk Work License : WP, DG, C2

12. HR Drivers License

13. Police Clearance

14. Must pass pre-employment medical & Ongoing DnA Testing
