Landholder Engagement Officer

About the Role

Advantage Access is seeking a Landholder Engagement Officer to support the delivery of land assembly and landholder engagement programmes for major renewable energy, transmission, digital infrastructure and utility projects across Australia.

This is a field-based relationship role focused on engaging directly with landholders, building trust, understanding local sentiment, and securing land access agreements that enable critical infrastructure projects to progress.

As a Landholder Engagement Officer, you will be the face of both Advantage Access and our clients in the communities where projects are located. Success in this role depends on your ability to build genuine relationships, communicate transparently, and maintain credibility with landholders throughout the engagement process.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with landholders across regional, rural and metropolitan Western Australia.

- Conduct meetings with landholders to discuss project opportunities, land access arrangements and commercial agreements.

- Represent Advantage Access and our clients professionally in all interactions.

- Explain project requirements, land access terms and development processes in a clear and practical manner.

- Identify landholder concerns and work collaboratively with project teams to address them.

- Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, correspondence and landholder feedback.

- Support negotiations leading to option agreements, access agreements, easements and other land-related contracts.

- Assist in managing relationships throughout project development, approvals, construction and operations phases.

- Work closely with Land Assembly Leads, GIS specialists and project teams to support programme delivery.

- Travel regularly throughout Western Australia and, where required, interstate.

Skills & Experience

Essential

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Professional, ethical and respectful approach to stakeholder engagement.

- Current and valid Australian driver's licence.

Desirable

- Experience in landholder engagement, stakeholder engagement, community relations, land access or property acquisition.

- Background in commercial real estate, rural property, agriculture, infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, telecommunications or related industries.

- Understanding of rural and regional communities and agricultural businesses.

- Experience negotiating commercial agreements.

- Knowledge of infrastructure, energy or land development projects.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable sitting at a landholder's kitchen table, listening carefully, understanding concerns, and building the trust required to create durable, long-term relationships.

Our most successful Landholder Engagement Officers are authentic, credible and community-minded, with a genuine ability to connect with people from all walks of life. While experience in land access, real estate or infrastructure is valued, we place equal importance on character, communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.

Pre-Employment Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to:

- Hold a current and valid driver's licence.

- Be willing to undertake regular travel throughout Western Australia and, where required, interstate.

- Have the legal right to work in Australia.

- Successfully complete a National Police Check, with any offer of engagement being subject to a satisfactory outcome.

Compensation & Benefits

- Casual contract position.

- Competitive hourly rate,

negotiated based on experience and capability.

- Adaptable work arrangements.

- Opportunity to work on some of Australia's most significant renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

- Ongoing support from an experienced team of land assembly, GIS and project development professionals.
