The Employee is employed as General Manager - Operations. The Employee will report directly to the Managing Director or their nominated representative. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Employer and ensuring efficient, protected and profitable operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Managing the daily operations of North Coast Shiplift Pty Ltd.
Overseeing contractor management, visitor compliance, site security, inductions, qualifications verification and shipyard access control.
Designing, implementing and maintaining operational systems, procedures and workflows for the Employer. Developing and improving operational efficiencies and productivity.
Managing all day-to-day staff work allocation, supervision, performance management and team leadership.
Scheduling labour and coordinating resources.
Preparing quotations for all customer enquiries and bookings.
Managing customer bookings and ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
Liaising with customers, suppliers, contractors and regulatory authorities.
Monitoring quality control and ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
Maintaining workplace health and safety standards and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Monitoring budgets, labour costs and operational performance.
Leading the implementation of operational systems, business improvements and strategic initiatives while supporting the Managing Director in the continued growth and development of the business.
Performing any other duties reasonably required that are consistent with the position of General Manager - Operations.
Hours of Work
Your ordinary hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Due to the nature of your position as General Manager - Operations, reasonable additional hours may be required to meet operational requirements
Remuneration
Your remuneration will be: $70 to $79per hour
Annual salary of $150k to 165k, based on a standard 40-hour working week
Superannuation paid in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee legislation
On-Call Responsibilities
As General Manager - Operations, you will be required to be available for after-hours operational support and emergency call-outs as reasonably required by the business.
Your annual remuneration has been structured to recognise the responsibilities associated with the position, including reasonable after-hours availability.
Company Mobile Phone: A company mobile phone will be supplied for business use. Reasonable personal use is permitted provided it does not interfere with business operations.
Annual Leave and Personal Leave You will be entitled to annual leave, personal/carer's leave and all other leave entitlements in accordance with the National Employment Standards (NES) and any applicable workplace legislation. All time accrued will be paid.
Probation
Your employment will be subject to a six (6) month probationary period during which your performance and suitability for the role will be reviewed. Confidentiality During your employment you will have access to confidential commercial and operational information. You are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all business, customer and employee information both during and after your employment.
Policies and Procedures You agree to comply with all company policies, procedures, safety requirements and lawful directions issued by the Managing Director
