We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to provide strategic leadership across our Human Resources, Quality & Compliance, and Workplace Health & Safety functions.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for leading the organisation's people and culture strategy while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and workforce capability.

This is a hands-on leadership role that oversees all aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, industrial relations, organisational development, and workplace wellbeing. The position also provides leadership across Quality & Compliance and Workplace Health & Safety, ensuring the organisation continues to meet legislative, accreditation, and quality standards.

This is a 6-month fixed-term position, providing an exciting prospect to make a meaningful impact by strengthening organisational systems, supporting leaders, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic leadership across Human Resources, Quality & Compliance, and Workplace Health & Safety

- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations,



and performance management

- Provide expert advice and support to managers on complex HR and industrial relations matters

- Oversee organisational compliance with employment legislation, WHS requirements, Child Safe Standards, and quality accreditation frameworks

- Lead policy development, governance initiatives, and continuous quality improvement activities

- Manage internal audits, reporting systems, organisational compliance, and risk management

- Mentor and support the Human Resources and Quality & Compliance team

- Develop and implement organisational projects that strengthen workforce capability and reporting systems

- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting a positive workplace culture

About You

We are looking for a proactive and collaborative leader who is passionate about developing people, strengthening organisational culture, and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience in a senior Human Resources leadership role

- Strong knowledge of Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Workplace Health & Safety, and organisational governance

- Experience leading workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, and performance management

- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills

- Experience developing policies, systems,



and organisational reporting frameworks

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

- Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives

- Understanding of, or commitment to working within, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and providing culturally safe services

Mandatory Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related discipline, or significant experience in a similar senior role

- Current Queensland Driver Licence

- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), or ability to obtain

- Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain

- National Police Check

- Proof of immunisation or confirmed non-susceptibility to Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs) in accordance with organisational requirements
