Convenience Buttons: Time Remaining 14 days Coordinator Payroll Operations The Public Transport Authority is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Coordinator Payroll Operations to join our Payroll and Personnel Administration team within People and Organisational Development. Reporting to the Principal Consultant – Payroll and Personnel Administration, you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of payroll services, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant outcomes for employees across the organisation.

You will oversee payroll operations, monitor work priorities and deadlines, provide operational leadership, and support a team of payroll professionals in delivering exceptional service standards. As a key payroll subject matter expert, you will provide advice and guidance on employee conditions, benefits and payroll-related matters, while ensuring payroll controls, procedures and quality assurance processes are maintained. You will also contribute to the ongoing enhancement of payroll systems, processes, policies and procedures to support continuous improvement and service excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to combine your technical payroll expertise with leadership capabilities, playing a critical role in ensuring payroll integrity, compliance and customer-focused service delivery. About You

To excel in this role, you should possess: Well-developed payroll and personnel administration knowledge, including statutory requirements and reporting obligations. Demonstrated experience delivering payroll services in a large and complex environment using computerised payroll and personnel systems. Proven ability to coordinate workloads, manage competing priorities and achieve accurate outcomes within strict timeframes.

Strong leadership skills with experience providing advice, direction, coaching and support to team members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships across all levels. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate payroll issues and implement practical solutions.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy and integrity when managing payroll and personnel information. Expertise in payroll compliance, audits, quality assurance, Awards and Agreements interpretation. Experience leading payroll teams, HRMIS improvements and process optimisation.
