Every great bakery needs a great dishy—and we’re looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team at Big Loaf.
We’re a family-run bakery known for our artisan breads and pastries. Keeping our bakery clean, organised and running smoothly is essential to everything we make, so this is an important role within our team.
What you’ll be doing
- Washing and sanitising bakery equipment, utensils and dishes
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins and wiping down surfaces
- Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies
- Helping with packaging, restocking and other bakery duties when required
- Following food safety, workplace safety and chemical-handling procedures
- Working closely with our bakers, shop staff and supervisors
About you
You’ll be a good fit if you:
- Are reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Take pride in keeping things clean and organised
- Can work efficiently in a busy environment
- Communicate well and enjoy being part of a team
- Are available for early mornings, weekends and some public holidays
- Are physically capable of standing for extended periods and safely moving bakery equipment and supplies
Previous experience in a similar role is helpful, but it isn’t essential—we’re happy to train someone with the right attitude.

Typical shifts: 10am - 5pm, 7 days per week available
