About the role

The Sammy D Foundation is seeking Casual Education Facilitators to help us deliver our life changing education education programs to schools and sporting clubs across Adelaide and South Australia. Our suite of violence prevention, bullying, alcohol and other drug programs are designed to create outcomes. We are creating a real change where all young people can live their best life free from violence.

This is a casual role delivering our programs during school hours with an option to deliver sporting programs on evenings and weekends. It is an ideal opportunity for those who would like to work during school hours and enjoy variety.

What you'll be doing
The Casual Education Facilitator will contribute to the Sammy D Foundation’s vision by:

- Delivering our education programs in schools, sporting clubs and community organisations

- Presenting engaging and interactive workshops to school aged children to change attitudes and behaviours towards bullying & violence

- Supporting the collection of evaluation data to educate funding bodies and policy makers

- Engaging positively with staff,



volunteers, contractors, clients, funding bodies, and program partners

- Representing the Foundation as a positive and professional face of the organisation

What we're looking for

- Experience in education facilitation or teaching

- Passionate about youth-centred programs and services

- Ability to work with integrity and professionalism with our team, stakeholders and young people

- Strong team collaboration skills

- Excellent presentation skills

- Ability to maintain accurate records

- Good computing and IT skills

- Knowledge of issues affecting young people, including those at risk

- Ability to work inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, CALD communities and people with disability

- Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements

- Current DHS Working with Children Clearance

- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care
(or willingness to obtain)

- National Police Check clearance

- Current driver’s licence
