We are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer/Operator to join our Infrastructure Services team. Reporting to the Team Lead Civil, you will play a key role in maintaining Council's roads and civil infrastructure across the region to recognised industry standards. This hands-on role involves undertaking a variety of general labouring tasks and operating light mechanical plant and equipment, including rollers, ride-on mowers and various trucks, while working collaboratively with a supportive team to deliver protected, efficient and high-quality outcomes for the community.

About the Role
- Carry out a variety of civil maintenance and labouring tasks, including planned maintenance, capital works and emergency response activities.
- Deliver high-quality work and contribute to achieving team service standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve work practices, processes and team outcomes.
- Work safely at all times by following WHS requirements, traffic management procedures, PPE requirements and protected work practices.
- Build positive, professional relationships with team members, stakeholders and the community.
Skills & Experience
- Construction Industry White Card (or willingness to obtain before starting).
- Experience in, or a genuine interest in, outdoor civil or construction work.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow work instructions and plans.
- A positive attitude and the ability to demonstrate Council's expected behaviours and values.
- Current Queensland Class C driver's licence.
