We work collaboratively with Government Agencies, Community Organisations and employers to support people to successfully transition from the justice system into education, training and sustainable employment.

Due to the continued growth of our justice and community programs, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Case Worker to join our Darwin team.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting individuals involved in the justice system to rebuild their lives. Working with participants both in custody and within the community, you will provide intensive case management, advocacy, mentoring and coordinated support to reduce recidivism and improve long-term social and employment outcomes.

You will work closely with correctional facilities, parole and probation services, government agencies, employers and community stakeholders to develop practical pathways into housing, education, training, employment and health services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional case management and psychosocial support to individuals involved in the justice system.

- Develop individual support and reintegration plans tailored to each participant's needs.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments, risk assessments and ongoing case reviews.

- Build positive relationships with participants to encourage engagement and successful reintegration.

- Coordinate referrals to housing, health, alcohol and other drug services, mental health services, financial counselling and other community supports.

- Work collaboratively with correctional centres, parole officers, youth and adult justice agencies,



legal services and other key stakeholders.

- Deliver mentoring, life skills and wellbeing support.

- Maintain accurate case notes, reports and program documentation.

- Monitor participant progress against program outcomes and contractual requirements.

- Participate in community engagement activities and represent ECB Training Services professionally.

About You

You are passionate about making a genuine difference in people's lives and understand the challenges faced by individuals transitioning from custody back into the community. You have excellent communication skills, strong professional boundaries and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline.

- Demonstrated experience working with people involved in the criminal justice system, correctional services or post-release reintegration programs.

- Experience providing case management and complex client support.

- Solid understanding of trauma-informed practice, strengths-based approaches and culturally responsive service delivery.

- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or culturally diverse populations.

- Excellent written communication and report writing skills.

- Current Northern Territory Driver Licence.

- National Police Check.

- NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card),



or ability to obtain.

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Highly Desirable

- Experience working within correctional centres or prisons.

- Knowledge of the Northern Territory justice, parole and corrections systems.

- Experience delivering justice reinvestment, rehabilitation or diversion programs.

- Mental Health First Aid qualification.

- Experience managing government-funded programs and reporting requirements.
