ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a qualified electrician to support our service rig operations in Queensland as a Rig Mechanic. The position will be based out of Toowoomba, with the requirement to regularly work on rigs in the field.
The ideal candidate will be hard working, self-motivated and have a positive attitude. As a new company, we have built an unpretentious, down to earth team that values practicality and friendliness. It is important to us to find someone who shares these traits to ensure a positive fit for all involved.
Job Description:
- Construction and commissioning of new, state-of-the-art, automated well service rig packages.
- Assist in control system design and specification of components.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on existing equipment at various field locations.
- Provide remote support to field technicians and rig crew members.
Requirements:
- Electrician trade qualified.
- C class licence mandatory, Heavy vehicle licence preferred.
- Right to live and work in Australia
- EEHA qualification
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- PLC and electrohydraulic control systems
- Hazardous area protection methods
- Generators and power distribution boards
- Lighting, receptacles, and earthing
- Well service, drilling, or other automated mobile equipment (preferred)
