We are seeking a passionate, experienced and student-focused Speech Pathologist to join our dedicated learning diversity team 2-3 days a week(negotiable), 8:00am-4:00pm (school terms only). Salary pro rata $34,678.52 - $52,017.78. You’ll be able to:

- Provide specialist services to students in area of expertise including conducting and interpreting discipline-specific assessments and evaluations to identify student needs, with the provision of feedback, recommendations and strategy implementation support.
- Provide specialised advice to employees and the leadership team in area of expertise and assist in the development of programs and interventions to be used by educators, other professionals and paraprofessionals.
- Manage the speech pathology services of the school including developing oral eating and drinking care plans, preparing and maintaining accurate case notes, files and reports and associated interventions to fulfil qualified obligations, noting that information and documentation is stored securely and confidentially and remains the property of the school and must be fully available to authorised personnel as appropriate.
- Identify and apply evidence-based interventions, individually or to small groups of students with disability, maintaining a high standard of confidentiality, record keeping and documentation of case notes and associated information.




- Communicate with and provide correspondence, reports, recommendations, etc. as required for the employer, families, mental health practitioners, external therapists and Government and community agencies, reflecting teacher observations, and maintain effective records at all times

Do you have?

- Comprehensive knowledge of current Child Protection requirements and associated legislation and demonstrated application of same.
- Experience in undertaking research and investigation and proven ability to develop policy and practice directions in area of expertise for use by other school staff.
- A University qualification in Speech Pathology and comprehensive demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role, particularly with children and young people, including those with special needs.
- Current registration and/or membership of a relevant and recognised professional organisation/registration body as required by legislation.
