USSC is looking for a skilled Sheetmetal Fabricator to join our growing Metal Shop team in Kewdale. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity where you'll work on specialised sheet metal fabrication and powder coating projects in a supportive and safety-focused environment.

About the Role
As a Sheetmetal Fabricator, you'll be responsible for manufacturing, assembling and finishing high-quality sheet metal components while maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, grind and finish sheet metal parts and components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical plans
- Design, develop and lay out patterns using manual and computerised equipment
- Assemble products and production equipment
- Perform grinding, finishing and quality inspections of completed products
- Ensure all work meets engineering specifications and quality standards
- Operate,
maintain and carry out routine maintenance on fabrication equipment and tools
- Modify or repair sheet metal components as required
- Support and mentor apprentices and new team members where required
- Follow all company safety procedures and OH&S; requirements
About You
You'll be a motivated tradesperson who enjoys working in a collaborative team and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience as a Sheetmetal Fabricator or Metal Fabricator
- Welding experience
- Powder coating experience (highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Strong skills using sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
