About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our Hope Valley animal feed mill.
This role runs on a rotating shift roster comprising of 3 weeks of day shifts (6 AM – 2 PM) and 1 week of afternoon shifts (2 PM – 10PM). There is a requirement to be on call 1 week per month.
You will be working at a modern, highly advanced site. Day-to-day maintenance is preventative work rather than reactive repairs.
Main responsibilities of this role include:
Scheduled and preventative maintenance on feed milling equipment (FMCG setting)Collaborate with Production functions to schedule maintenance work for optimal customer outcomesConduct plant and workshop inspections in line with approved safety, hazard, and hygiene practicesComplete maintenance records and documentation promptly and accuratelyIdentify and escalate issues promptly to the manager for effective solutionsOptimise interfaces between different work areasContinually seek improvements across maintenance activities
About You
As an experienced and professional Maintenance Fitter,
we are looking for the following qualities:
Relevant trade qualification required (e.g. Mechanical Fitter & Turner)Extensive fault-finding and problem-solving expertiseStrong computer literacy skillsAbility to handle difficult problems with a logical and systematic approachGood understanding of and commitment to health and safety work practicesRestricted Electrical Licence is desirable (manufacturing equipment)Prior maintenance experience in the Feed or Food manufacturing sector is desirable (FMCG)
