Our Paget workshop is at the heart of what we do — specialising in medium to heavy fabrication, structural repairs, and major component works for mining and industrial clients. We’re now looking for an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our fabrication team and help drive productivity, quality, and safety in our busy workshop.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being on the tools while leading from the front.

You’ll oversee a crew of boilermakers and apprentices in our medium to heavy fabrication workshop, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with supervisors and management to coordinate workflow, maintain quality outcomes, and support the day-to-day running of the workshop.

The work includes:

- Medium to heavy structural fabrication

- Bucket, tray, chassis and component repairs

- General mining and industrial fabrication

- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings

- Supervising and mentoring workshop personnel

- Ensuring jobs are completed on schedule and to specification

What We’re Looking For

- Trade-qualified Boilermaker

- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience

- Strong fabrication and welding experience

- Experience in medium to heavy fabrication environments

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

- Ability to lead by example and mentor apprentices/tradespeople

- Forklift, dogging, or overhead crane tickets highly regarded

- Mining or heavy industry experience advantageous
